This is the first in a series of 6 crochet along workshops designed for anyone with some basic crochet knowledge who is looking to develop their skills, learn new techniques and make something beautiful in a friendly and supportive environment.
We will look at a different crochet square each month, and these will get successively more complex throughout the course allowing you to build on your skills and learn new techniques as you work on your own unique and beautiful crochet blanket.
Throughout the course we will cover a wide range of stitches and techniques which you will be able to apply to future projects with confidence and skill –
Topics covered will include:
- Basic colour theory and choosing your own unique colour palette
- Reading, and demystifying, crochet stitch diagrams
- Working a range of different crochet stitches
- How to join squares to achieve a professional finish.
- Blocking and edging
The course fee includes 10 balls of Rowan Felted Tweed and you can choose your own colours from the full range at Norfolk Yarn, so you know that your finished blanket will be utterly gorgeous!
Please be aware that you will need to purchase more yarn to complete a full size blanket. At the time of writing this product is still in development but you may need to purchase 10 more balls.
Each class will be tailored to individual abilities and will be informal, informative and lots of fun.
You don’t need to be an experienced crocheter; knowing the basics would be an advantage, but you will learn ‘on the job’ and quickly build up your skills.
