Norwich, Norfolk NR2 1DS
Saturday 9th September
This is the first in a series of four ‘crochet along’ workshops to make your own unique version of the beautiful Trellis Poncho which I’m launching this summer.Throughout this four part course you will cover a wide range of stitches and techniques which you will be able to apply to future projects with confidence and skill – and you will also have you own fabulous finished product to treasure.
Techniques covered will include:
- Basic crochet stitches.
- Working in the round.
- Crochet flowers.
- Joining motifs as you work.
- Working a pop pom trim.
- Blocking and finishing
You will choose your own colours from a range of gorgeous Rowan Felted Tweed from Norfolk Yarn, so you know that the finished product will be utterly gorgeous!
The course will be taught by Sue, (that’s me) designer at The Mercerie, and it is suitable for anyone with good basic crochet skills. I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years experience teaching learners of all ages and abilities and I also have lots of patience and will make sure you develop all the skills you need to complete this beautiful poncho.
Each class will be tailored to individual abilities and will be informal, informative and lots of fun.
You don’t need to be an experienced crocheter; knowing the basics would be an advantage, but you will learn ‘on the job’ and quickly build up your skills.
If you have existing crochet skills but wuld like to brush up abit before doing this course you might like to attend my Crochet Beyond the Granny Square class.
If you have no experience of crochet but would love to learn why not try my Beginners Crochet Class?
If you have any further questions about this course drop me an email and I’ll get back to you;
