We are looking forward to our first Christmas at The Mercerie and have some exciting things planned over the next few weeks. We are extremely lucky to be based in the fine city of Norwich which is full of grand, and humble, historical buildings and you can find us in two of the city’s most fascinating buildings this Christmas.
On Saturday 1st, and Sunday 2nd of December we shall be at Dragon Hall, a magnificent Grade I listed medieval trading hall nestling in King Street. Dragon Hall has a fascinating history, and links with Norwich’s rich history of textile trade and manufacture, making it the ideal venue for The Mercerie’s products. The weekend will have a medieval theme, with over 30 traders entering the spirit of the occasion in historically inspired costume. (Oh, I wonder if Jarrolds are selling wimples this season….)
The following week we shall be in the extremely grand setting of Norwich Castle Museum for their Craft Fair and Enchanted Evening. There will lots going on including craft stalls, visiting owls, a magician, owl making workshops, music and more owls (owls are very on trend this year….)
So if you like to be entertained whilst shopping local in grand old buildings come and join us.
